  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 onion (finely diced and sliced)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  2. Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium heat and brown each patty for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until soft. Stir in flour for about 2 minutes before whisking in beef broth and cream until smooth.
  4. Nestle the browned patties into the gravy, cover tightly with a lid or foil, and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes to thicken.
