Description

Transform your weeknight meals into a comforting experience with this Chicken Alfredo Gnocchi recipe. This dish combines pillowy potato dumplings, tender chicken, and a rich, creamy alfredo sauce, making it perfect for family gatherings or cozy evenings at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 shallots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lb uncooked potato gnocchi
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Season chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat for about 8–10 minutes until golden brown. Remove and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté shallots for 2–3 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in remaining butter and flour to create a roux. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, milk, and cream until smooth and bubbling.
  5. Mix in diced chicken and uncooked gnocchi until well combined. Top with mozzarella and parmesan.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
