  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate diced chicken in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce by whisking together soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), black pepper, salt, crushed red pepper flakes (if desired), and cornstarch mixed with water.
  3. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken until golden brown and cooked through; set aside.
  4. Sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet until fragrant.
  5. Add cabbage, bell pepper, and carrot; stir-fry until tender yet crisp.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce; cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed before serving hot.
