  • 3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 medium red onion, finely diced
  • 1 rib celery, finely diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package directions in salted water until al dente. Drain and cool under cold running water.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, black pepper, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  3. Fold in the diced onion, celery, and bell pepper into the dressing.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooled pasta with half of the dressing. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours to let flavors meld.
  6. Before serving, add remaining dressing to the salad and adjust seasoning as needed.
