  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup 2% Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temp
  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 4oz heavy cream
  • 23 tsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cookie dough filling by creaming butter and sugars together, then mix in flour and chocolate chips. Set aside.
  2. For the vanilla cake batter, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then alternate mixing in dry ingredients with milk and yogurt.
  3. In greased cake pans, pour half of the batter, add spoonfuls of cookie dough, then top with remaining batter. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  4. Make chocolate ganache by heating heavy cream and pouring it over chopped bittersweet chocolate; stir until smooth.
  5. For frosting, beat butter and gradually add powdered sugar followed by milk, vanilla extract, salt, and mini chocolate chips.
  6. Once cooled, assemble layers with frosting in between and cover the entire cake with frosting before drizzling ganache on top.
