- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temp
- 5 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 4oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 4oz heavy cream
- 2–3 tsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Prepare the cookie dough filling by creaming butter and sugars together, then mix in flour and chocolate chips. Set aside.
- For the vanilla cake batter, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then alternate mixing in dry ingredients with milk and yogurt.
- In greased cake pans, pour half of the batter, add spoonfuls of cookie dough, then top with remaining batter. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
- Make chocolate ganache by heating heavy cream and pouring it over chopped bittersweet chocolate; stir until smooth.
- For frosting, beat butter and gradually add powdered sugar followed by milk, vanilla extract, salt, and mini chocolate chips.
- Once cooled, assemble layers with frosting in between and cover the entire cake with frosting before drizzling ganache on top.
