  • 16 slices Swiss cheese
  • ½ lb thinly sliced ham

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your deep pan to 325°F (170°C) with oil for frying.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder; flatten each breast between plastic wrap using a meat mallet.
  3. Layer Swiss cheese and ham on each flattened breast, roll tightly, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Dredge rolls in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry each roll until golden brown (about 5 minutes per side) or bake at 325°F until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, sauté garlic, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk. Stir in Dijon mustard and Parmesan cheese.
