- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ pound sweet Italian sausage
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 48 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- 12 lasagna noodles
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF and spray a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage. Drain excess fat, then add minced garlic and spaghetti sauce; simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 2 cups mozzarella cheese, eggs, half of the Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Spread ¾ cup of meat sauce in the bottom of the dish. Layer with three uncooked noodles, followed by ⅓ of the cheese mixture and ¼ of the meat sauce. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Top with remaining noodles and sauce; sprinkle with leftover mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil (sprayed side down) and bake for 50 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
