Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 1 lb Italian sausage (casings removed)
- ½ cup diced onion
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 1 jar (25 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 cup mini pepperoni or chopped pepperoni
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the Italian sausage until no longer pink. Add diced onion and mushrooms; cook until softened. Drain excess grease.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese until smooth.
- In the prepared baking dish, layer half of the cream cheese mixture, half of the marinara sauce, half of the sausage mixture, and half of the pepperoni.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining ingredients.
- Top with an additional cup of mozzarella cheese and extra pepperoni if desired.
