  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm milk with instant yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add sweetened condensed milk, softened butter, beaten egg, warm water, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients; stir until combined.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place in a greased bowl covered with a towel and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down dough and shape into a loaf; place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush loaf with beaten egg mixed with water.
  9. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before slicing.
