  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing cornstarch with cold water. In another bowl, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and set aside.
  2. Heat peanut oil in a large skillet over medium heat; add broccoli and cook for 4-5 minutes until slightly softened. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add ground beef and onions; season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and onions are translucent.
  4. Add sliced bell peppers and the prepared sauce; bring to a boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Stir in cornstarch mixture until thickened.
  5. Return broccoli to the skillet, mix well, and serve hot over cooked rice.
