  • 1 1/2 lb chuck roast or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 lb broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Set your Instant Pot to 'Saute' and add canola oil until shimmering.
  2. Brown the beef in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot.
  3. Stir in beef broth, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Lock the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  5. Perform a quick release by moving the valve to venting once cooking ends.
  6. Stir in a mixture of cornstarch and water until smooth.
  7. Select 'Saute', add broccoli, and cook for about 3 minutes (or longer if using frozen).
  8. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
