  • 2 tbsp milk for glaze

Instructions

  3. Add anise extract, milk, and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually incorporate flour into the mixture, followed by baking powder and salt until combined.
  5. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Scoop dough (about 1.5 tablespoons each) onto sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes until tops are dry; check doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Cool cookies for about 10 minutes before glazing with powdered sugar mixed with milk and decorating with nonpareils.
