- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 13×9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, extending over the sides for easy removal. Spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt. Cut in softened butter with a pastry blender until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until lightly browned.
- In another bowl, mix brown sugar, dark corn syrup, melted butter, and eggs until well combined. Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling over the crust and bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes or until set. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
