Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 13×9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, extending over the sides for easy removal. Spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt. Cut in softened butter with a pastry blender until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until lightly browned.
  3. In another bowl, mix brown sugar, dark corn syrup, melted butter, and eggs until well combined. Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the filling over the crust and bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes or until set. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
