Ingredients
- 1/2 cup liquid aminos (or soy sauce)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 2 tsps Sambal Oelek
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tsps cornstarch
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients except water and cornstarch. Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally.
- In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water until dissolved to create a slurry.
- Add the slurry to the saucepan and whisk continuously over medium-low heat for about 5–10 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool before storing in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to one week.
