Description

Mini Trifles are the perfect dessert to impress your guests at any gathering. These charming individual servings feature delightful layers of creamy custard, fresh berries, and a touch of jelly, all beautifully presented in small glasses or dessert dishes. Their versatility allows for endless flavor combinations, making them suitable for any occasion—from casual family dinners to elegant celebrations. Ingredients

  • 85 grams jelly crystals
  • 125 mls cream
  • 12 pieces Tiramisu sponge fingers
  • 1/2 cup port, sherry, or juice (for a non-alcoholic version)
  • 1 1/2 cups custard
  • 400 grams mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 200 mls thickened cream
  • 1 teaspoon custard powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the jelly according to package instructions and refrigerate until set.
  2. Once set, reserve some jelly mixture and whip the remaining with cream until combined.
  3. Layer the jelly mixture into dessert glasses.
  4. Soak sponge fingers in port (or juice) and layer them on top.
  5. Add a layer of custard followed by chopped berries.
  6. Top with whipped cream mixed with custard powder.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves and whole berries before serving.
