  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup (100 g) Dutch process cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cups (95 g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 2/3 cup M&M chocolate candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8 x 8 baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a double boiler, melt together butter, chopped chocolate, and both sugars until glossy; cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gently fold in flour until just mixed; avoid overmixing.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle M&M's on top.
  7. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until edges are set; toothpick should come out with a few crumbs.
