  • 4 (6 oz) salmon filets
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water; set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, mix orange juice, zest, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and the cornstarch mixture. Simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened. Cool.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
  4. Place salmon skin-side down on the baking sheet and baste with half of the sauce.
  5. Bake for 14 minutes or until flaky.
  6. Broil for 1 minute after basting with reserved sauce for added flavor.
  7. Serve over rice and garnish with optional toppings.
