  • 100g pretzels
  • 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp classic yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 35g plain flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 180ml vegetable oil (or as needed)
  • Flaky sea salt, to serve
  • Finely diced fresh chives, to serve
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the honey mustard sauce by mixing mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  2. Crush pretzels using a food processor or rolling pin until you achieve coarse crumbs.
  3. Set up three shallow dishes: one with seasoned flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with crushed pretzels.
  4. Slice chicken breasts into cutlets and dredge them first in flour, then egg, and finally coat with pretzels.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a heavy-based pan over medium heat until hot. Fry cutlets until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Serve hot with honey mustard sauce drizzled or on the side.
