- 2–3 cups powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons whipping cream (as needed)
- 1 cup white sugar (for salted caramel sauce)
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter (cut into 5 pieces)
- 1/2 cup whipping cream (for salted caramel sauce)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for salted caramel sauce)
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt (for salted caramel sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix vegetable oil, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
