  • 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1/4 cup green onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, coarsely chop the shrimp and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Combine chopped shrimp with breadcrumbs, beaten egg, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and cilantro.
  3. Form mixture into balls using about 2 tablespoons each.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the shrimp balls in batches until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
