Ingredients
- 750g (1.7 lb) chicken breast, cut into chunks
- 2 onions, quartered
- 3 tsp garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp ginger, minced
- 250ml (8.5 fl oz) chicken stock
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 500g (1.1 lb) broccoli florets, room temperature
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp water
Instructions
- Cut chicken into chunks and quarter onions. Crush garlic and mince ginger.
- Add chicken, onions, garlic, ginger, chicken stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and sesame oil to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until chicken is tender.
- Mix cornstarch with water; stir into the slow cooker about 30 minutes before serving.
- Add broccoli florets; cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until heated through.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
