  • 12 ounces Cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 3/4 cups Freshly grated Mozzarella Cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 cup Freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 15 ounce Can diced tomatoes (drained)
  • 3/4 cup Pepperoncinis (drained and diced)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • Fresh chopped basil for garnish
  • Crostini, toasted bread or crackers for dipping

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked sausage, cream cheese, 3/4 cup mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, diced tomatoes, pepperoncinis, and seasonings until well mixed.
  4. Spread the mixture into the baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes until bubbly; optionally broil for browning.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm with dippers.
