- 2 (5 oz) cans tuna, drained
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 stalk celery, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- 3–4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Sliced bread
- Softened butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna with chopped onion, celery, garlic, parsley, mayonnaise, olive oil, and mozzarella. Mix well; season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Butter one side of a slice of bread and place it in the skillet butter-side down.
- Spread about 2 tablespoons of the tuna mixture on top. Butter another slice of bread and place it on top (buttered side up).
- Cook until golden brown on one side; flip and grill the other side until crispy.
